Meet the GIBBON SlackYard — a free-standing slackline system designed to take your balance beyond the board. Built for backyards and parks, SlackYard delivers real slackline progression without needing trees, permanent anchors, or complicated setups. Whether you’re cross-training for board sports, building confidence step by step, or creating an active outdoor space, SlackYard gives you a stable foundation that grows with you.
Why the SlackYard?
Tree-Free Freedom: Our revolutionary A-Frame and ground-screw system allows for a professional setup in any yard, field, or park.
The podiums offer a low-impact 10-inch "beginner" height that grows to a 16-inch "pro" setting, so the SlackYard grows with your skill level. With the stretch of the line, your feet are just inches off the ground. The length is adjustable up to 16 feet, allowing you to customize your training space.
Engineered for Stability: Built with premium, weather-resistant materials, the SlackYard provides a rigid, reliable tension that mimics a professional competition line.
The tough ground screws secure the system in minutes and leave your lawn undisturbed when removed. Setup can be done in 15 minutes, and tear down is easy.

FAQ
The SlackYard is designed for use in grass and compact soil. It is not designed for use in sand, turf, or extremely soft ground types.
For use with softer ground types, extend your ground anchors and add more screws to each side. For use in hard soil and lawns, try wetting the grass first to allow the screws to drive into the ground.
Absolutely. In fact, it’s the best way to start. Unlike traditional slacklines that are often high and intimidating, the SlackYard allows you to start just a few inches off the ground. You can set the line very short and tight for maximum stability, then increase the length as your balance improves.
All you need is a standard power drill to drive the screws into the soil. The SlackYard is a complete "all-in-one" system. It includes the heavy-duty A-frames, the pro-grade GIBBON webbing, high-tension ratchets, and our proprietary ground-screw anchors.
At its maximum extension, the SlackYard spans 30 feet long (9m) and stands 1.5 feet tall (0.5m), providing a full-scale slacklining experience in your own backyard.
One of its best features is its extreme adjustability. If you have a smaller space, you can easily customize the length by installing the anchors closer together and pulling the extra webbing through the ratchet. The entire system is engineered for portability and ease of use, weighing approximately 35 pounds, making it easy to pack up for a trip to the park or store away for the winter.
Initial assembly takes about 15–20 minutes. Once you’ve chosen your spot, driving the ground screws takes only a few minutes with a drill. Because it is weather-resistant, most users set it up once at the start of the season and leave it ready for action all summer long.
Not at all—it’s your natural "graduation." Think of the SlackBoard as your foundation and the SlackYard as your playground. It offers the same safe, low-height experience you love, but gives you the extra length needed to feel the true "flow" and dynamic movement of slacklining.
Surprisingly, no. Our ground screws are designed to be "low-impact." They function much like an aeration tool; when you decide to move or remove the system, you are left with only a small hole that grass typically recovers from in just a few days. No concrete or digging required.
The SlackYard is engineered for strength and can safely support a single user weighing up to 400 lbs (181 kg).
Yes! You can use the webbing from other GIBBON slackline sets, but they will not be as long as the full length due to the height of the A-frames.
Yes! Check out the GIBBON Balance App for programs that teach you how to walk your first slackline and how to start playing on your slackline.
In most cases, an electric drill will be needed to secure the ground screws
The SlackYard is designed exclusively to be used in grass and soil, while the SlackRack can be moved anywhere. The SlackYard is more adjustable from 3 feet (1m) to 16 feet (5m), while the SlackRack's adjustability is more limited. The SlackYard allows you to progress over grass at a lower height than the SlackRack.
